Before you read on the following post, let me introduce myself. I’ve been a crazy fan of ‘The Simpsons’ since its premiere in December 17, 1989. I think, I’ve never missed any episode of the show and own the downloaded collection of all The Simpsons seasons. For me, it always has been a very humorous, thought-provoking, entertaining and lovable animated TV show with no obnoxious side effects. There are several other animation series such as Family Guy and South Park which often become part of controversies due to taboo topics they make use of. Fortunately, The Simpsons always managed to retain a respectable status in the society but unluckily, it’s not possible any more. Controversies have managed to find their way into our darling animated comedy drama ‘The Simpsons’.

The University Of Sydney School Of Public Health carried out a study to depict the impact of the TV shows like ‘The Simpsons’ on public health. The study results have shown that TV shows like ‘The Simpsons’ display the use of tobacco in episodes. Dr. Eslick examined the 18 seasons of The Simpsons, near about 400 episodes. His studies have shown that the smoking was shown as many times as 795 times, featuring in a negative context about 35 per cent of the time, positive 2 per cent and neutral 63 per cent.
He added, “In the majority of cases the characters were adults, such as Patty and Selma and Krusty the Clown, although children and teenagers featured in around eight per cent of cases”.
While watching the episodes of any TV show, we rarely care about such kind of issues but actually, a concern is required being a good citizen. It’s a well known fact that animated shows are mostly watched by the kids so smoking by their favorite characters in their darling TV shows can have major influence on their minds. So, I think the creators must think about it and take initiatives to make this show free from all such social and health hazards.

Well, I am very happy with the news and very sure that you’d also jump on your couch after coming to know about it. Hey buddies! very soon we would see our favorite characters of ‘The Simpsons’ tv show, in form of stamps in our post offices. OMG! It’s gonna be pretty rocking to buy those sweet characters and fixing on the mails you are sending to your loved ones. Kudos to the creators of series! I guess, it’s the most pleasing thing done ever in TV history, by any series, to make their fans happy and also make them feel attached with the show all the time, even when you go to post office to post some mails
Who would be there on stamps? The very iconic Homer Simpson, Marge Simpson, Bart Simpson, Lisa Simpson and Maggie Simpson would make you smile when you’d affix those on the mails. All the stamps are designed by Matt Groening, The Simpsons creator and executive producer. If the question- why these stamps are released- is hitting your mind, let me resolve it. Folks… our very favorite ‘The Simpson’s is celebrating its twentieth anniversary this year, 2009 and this, releasing stamps, is their way of celebration.

The popularity of the show has always been rocking since its premiere and each season of series manages to achieve high ratings as well. It was 1989, twenty years ago, when we first watched the opening episode of first season of ‘The Simpsons’. Well, I missed it as I was only 1 year old then…hahah! My cousins and siblings used to watch it and later I too grew up watching the episodes of the show. ‘The Simpsons’ is the longest running series of Fox Network and, most probably, of TV world as well. Due to its very well planned plot and superb representation, ‘The Simpsons’ has secured 24 Emmy Awards, a Peabody Award and innumerous other awards.
Currently, the series is running in the twentieth season. All seasons of series are available here, click to watch online or download episodes of ‘The Simpsons’.
It has been more than 20 yeas since the day we first watched ‘The Simpsons’ TV show. It’s a not a child’s play to complete consecutive 20 seasons especially when the series is animated one. And, ‘The Simpsons’ did it proving itself as the most loved animated show. ‘The Simpsons’ ruled the hearts of fans and some catch phrases, used by the several characters, became a part of our routine life such as “doh!”, and “eat my shorts” etc.

‘The Burns and the Bees’ once again repeated the fun and enjoyment that we all used to expect from ‘The Simpsons’ TV show. During this episode, we met Mr. Burns as he headed to annual billionaire’s retreat and won a professional basketball team in a poker game. In order to lure the fans, Mr. Burns decided to build a state-of-the-art facility. And, the interesting thing was that the stadium site was the same place in Springfield where Lisa had already built a bee colony. Later, we saw that the bees attacked the new sports arena and ultimately, it was declared as a bee sanctuary. After watching this episode, I was of thinking that it was one of the funniest and best written episodes of ‘The Simpsons’ aired yet. And, it once again reminded us why we’re in love with the show for such a long time period. It made me laugh heartily; in fact, sometimes I couldn’t even breathe due to laugh. It was nothing less than falling off your chair when Mr. Burns shot the team mascot and I hardly managed my self when the wrecking ball tore through the greenhouse.

Another news for Simpsons fans! Not caring about the an episode of ‘The Simpsons’ in which Apple and its Chief Executive Steve Jobs were mocked, Apple has shown green-light to all seasons of ‘The Simpsons’ and the longest running animation series had finally found it self on iTunes a few days earlier. Hey….don’t get over excited as only the twentieth season of ‘The Simpsons’ is available yet and rest would be launched very soon.
Okay, guys it’s for all ‘The Simpsons’ fans to be proud of themselves. After all if you ask me, it’s the fans that make a series. If there will be no people to watch the series, there will be no series at all. And, now coming to the title, yes guys, the race is on. Its year end and it is time to appreciate the hard work that everyone was putting in through out the year to entertain the viewers.
Yes, Hollywood is ready to give awards to the most deserving. ‘The Writers Guild of America’ has singled out their list of nominations for this year’s most deserving series. As you might just have guessed, it’s ‘The Simpsons’. Yes ‘The Simpsons’ is one series that is leading the list with maximum number of nominations. As for now, this animation series has been able to bag five nominations and that is the maximum for any series, and in any category. The others in the list of achieving the nominations are 30 Rock, Breaking Bad, Dexter, Friday Night Light, Entourage, Weeds, Lost, Mad Men and many more.

But, the thing to be happy about is that my all time favorite series has received maximum number of nominations. Now isn’t that a thing about which all the fans of the series should be proud of? At least I am really proud of it. Now, all I am hoping is that my favorite series should be able to grab the maximum number of awards also and not just nominations.
As for now all I have to say is that I am really looking forward to the award function to take place. Well, frankly I do not have any idea about the dates of the award function and I am desperately waiting for release of date. And, I would really like to wish all the very best to all the series that have been nominated. Here’s hoping that the best one takes the award.
Now that is what I call fantastic new. What say guys? The show that has been entertaining us for the past twenty years will continue to do so for at least three more years. Simpson’s was originally created by Cartoonist Matt Groening for The Tracy Ullman Show. It remained on the show for three seasons before it got its own half an hour slot and was an instant success with the audience. It was one of the very first animated series to be aired on a major network channel and that too in primetime. It changed the meaning of television cartoons and paved way for many other series of its kind. It is also one of the longest running animated series on television.

The peculiar members of the Simpson family have made us roll on the floor with laughter. The show is better known for its cheeky yet sensible humor and matchless spoof on various subjects like politics to media, law and order, drugs, sex and other issues of life in general. The huge popularity of the show can be judged from the fact that it has been nominated for and won various awards which include 23 Emmy awards as well as being made into a movie in 2007 named The Simpson’s Movie. The series has so far completed 400 episodes besides having a handful of music albums and numerous endorsements in its name. So now it will not be difficult to understand why I have been hooked to the show for so many years and wish to continue doing so for many years to come.
Wow!! What a fantastic start to Season 20. I mean, season opener was a pretty good way to begin a new season and was a lot better than the season 19 opener. In this episode, we see that Homer is sent to jail because of his participation in the riots. Marge’s picnic basket is stolen by some hungry children but at the time, Patrick Flannery steps in and returns the basket to her. Impressed Marge offers him a cupcake. When he eats the very delicious cupcake, he offers her a job at his bakery.

Imprisoned Homer Simpson meets Lucky Jim and Wolf, the bounty hunter in order to get his bail bond. Later, he decides to try his won hand so adjoins Ned Flanders, a bounty hunter. So, they both go into the business.
Episode had a very brilliant plot and everything worked out well. It made me laugh heartily and yeah, of course… the main plot involving Homer and Ned as Bounty Hunters was really very cool and funny as well. They both played very nicely There were some pretty nice gags around such as the ‘meth-lab’ chemistry and ‘pizza rolling technique’ which was showed to Ned by Homer Simpson. First 5 minutes were full of jokes and the scene of St. Patrick’s Day parade was very well planned.

Well, there was a weak point also. We see that Homer and Marge both take new jobs, but the very same story has already been used earlier. How many times they’re gonna repeat it?
It seems satisfactory to feel that TV’s most nuclear family is on the verge to complete twenty consecutive seasons. They ruled our TV and also the FOX network for such a long time. Only a few shows are here who have made such an ostentatious success. ‘The Simpsons’…. You’re the best animated guys which we always loved and will always love to watch. With the twentieth season on air, I expect more fine writing style and way of presentation, hopefully, much better than the previous 19 seasons. Next episode ‘Lost Verizon’ was aired on October 5, 08.

Simpsons are like a family to most people of our generation since we have practically grown up watching these characters. We can love them or hate them but certainly cannot ignore them. I can’t remember a time when I did not know them. With 20th season of The Simpson’s set to premier on September 28, I wonder what this family will be up to this season.

Rumor is that Denis Leary is guest star in one of the episodes where he plays….yes, guessed it right folks. He plays himself. He will be a victim of Bart’s pranks. And the comedy resulting from it all should not be missed at any cost.
There is more to come, friends. Pretty Julia Louis-Dreyfus will star the show as Snake’s girlfriend. That should make show interesting enough for us.

Recently the producer Al Jean revealed that Simpsons will have the richest cast in history of cartoons. No guys, Simpsons are not getting a windfall even though there is going to be an episode where Homer will turn into a bounty hunter. What Al Jean meant was that two billionaires are going to lend their voices to this iconic series this season. One of them is the CEO of Amazon.com Jeff Bezos and the other is owner of Dallas Mavericks, Mark Cuban. Don’t you think it’s cool???
Simpsons have become symbolic of a typical dysfunctional American family and all kind of celebrities like to appear on the show. In 2003 British Prime Minister Tony Blair appeared in The Simpsons. Homer took Marge and kids to London where they met Tony Blair and thought he was Mr. Bean. If you have not watched those episodes then don’t worry. You can download them here.
Happy watching till the new seasons begin!
Hola, Simpson’s Fans. I know this is old French but as I’ve just seen the episode of Simpsons with flash back so I am also little behind in time. So I said Hola. Anyways, if you love Simpsons show then you must have watched season’s finale. I liked that episode very much that I felt like watching it again. So I am here and enjoyed the episode ‘All about Lisa’. This episode is about show biz, and especially about Lisa’s show biz career.

The episode is very funny. It’s in a flash back how Lisa got an opportunity to act in a famous show Krusty the clown. In fact she went there to fight for Bart who had performed exceptional in the auditions but Krusty chose another candidate, whose mother was romantically involved with him.
Lisa argued about the unfair treatment meted out to Bart and look at the twist of destiny, Krusty found her suitable for a role in that show. Lisa accepted the offer. But she became the victim of Krusty’s bullying though Krusty fired that guy too, whom he had hired in place of Bart. Then Lisa became extra nice and good to Krusty and he too responds by becoming polite with her
In the end of the episode, Krusty’s comedian got stuck in the traffic so Lisa steps in for the role and makes people laugh hard.
Consequently, the show makers found Lisa far more entertaining than Krusty, and she got Krusty’s role. She became a star overnight but when Sideshow Mel, the narrator in the episode told her that the success would turn her head and she would become more greedy and egoistic like Krusty, Lisa decided to leave the show biz for Krusty as she wanted to become the real Lisa again.
On the other hand to cool off the frustrated Bart, Homer and Bart get into coin collection. Cool episode. Simpsons is always very entertaining and the ideal choice and that’s why I suppose it has completed twenty record breaking seasons.
Though Simpsons has been my favorite show for a long time but I tend to miss some of its episodes some time. I get distracted by the pretty women on the other shows but in the end the fun I have watching this show is unmatchable…

Today I was absolutely free from work so was passing my time surfing. So I downloaded the very first episode which is ‘Simpsons Roasting on an open fire’. The episode is pretty funny.
The episode is pretty funny and as there is a saying that first impression is the last impression so it made an impression upon me and now I can say that I would love watching this show.

This episode is based upon the troubles family faces around Christmas. They don’t have sufficient money to buy a presents. Moreover, Bart spends Christmas savings of the family to get his tattoo removed. Homer doesn’t get bonus on time so both go for betting in Dog race to double their money. Obviously they don’t succeed and the owner of the dog leaves that dog with them in anger and they bring the dog home as a Christmas present for the family. They all welcome that dog.

So Santa, after all, does exist as he sent them a Christmas gift, that dog. What a wonderful Christmas they had! So now I am going to watch another episode of it and then I’ll write about that. So catch you later guys.
Hey guys, I just heard some wonderful news about ‘The Simpsons‘. I knew that they deserve this. The Simpsons is on the top of the list of 100 Best Shows from 1983 to 2008. The list is called New Classic TV Show List. You know what is the best part of this news? The Simpsons has defeated the great shows like ‘Sex and the City’, ‘The X files’ from the FOX itself. Can you believe it that an animated series can defeat shows which are close to the real lives and are full of drama? Shows like ‘Sex and the City’ are popular among the teenagers only. But Simpsons won the race because of its popularity among the people of every age group. Once you have watched an episode, you would be sorry if you miss the next one.

The best thing about the show is that it provides a healthy entertainment to all. For sure this show deserves to be on the top. The wonderful characters, and excellent color scheme and characters have been developed to in a way that they continue to reflect whatever era it is telecasted whether it’s 1980’s or 21st century.
One of my cousins is a great fan of the show and he will definitely put some comments after hearing the news. He is watching this show from the times when he was in school in 1990. It has been more than seventeen years and the show is still as popular as it was at that time. Sometimes I tease him, calling him a kid whenever he comes to my place and snatches remote from my hands to watch the show. But I never tell him I too am very fond of the show. The fun I find in this show can’t be found in any other comedy series meant for mature people. There is a kid inside everyone.
