American Idol famed Simon Cowell’s voice acting skills are again under the scanner as he is all set for one more cameo in world-renowned anime series “The Simpsons.” The music mogul’s voice will be used on one of the forthcoming The Simpsons episodes.

This is second time when Simon will be voice acting for the series. Simon described his last experience as being awkward and daunting one. Moreover he quoted, “They obviously hated me as I had to do it over and over again. I could actually feel the rolling of eyeballs. It was like, ‘After take 57, Simon could we have a little more reality’. It was painful.”

It’s good to see Simon in an iffy situation; after all so many times we have observed him daunting the American Idol contestants. Fifty seven takes is too much for a voice act, Simon you must have put utmost strain on the vocal chords. Maybe, this has kept you away from trying your luck in singing. Ha! Ha! Just joking guys.

This time Simon has emoted an irritable character which puts off Maggie Simpson and the character’s antics are not taken lightly by Maggie’s dad Homer. The Simpsons TV show continues to celebrate its 20th anniversary. This time Fox network has come up with a creative initiative by deciding to don the yellow texture. Its graphical elements will soon turn yellow as tribute to one of the greatest animations ever. The change is expected to initiate by January 3 and will continue for one entire week. Matt Groening, the man behind dearly loved amusing set of fictional characters must be shrouded with a feeling of utmost proud.

The University Of Sydney School Of Public Health carried out a study to depict the impact of the TV shows like ‘The Simpsons’ on public health. The study results have shown that TV shows like ‘The Simpsons’ display the use of tobacco in episodes.  Dr. Eslick examined the 18 seasons of The Simpsons, near about 400 episodes. His studies have shown that the smoking was shown as many times as 795 times, featuring in a negative context about 35 per cent of the time, positive 2 per cent and neutral 63 per cent.

He added, “In the majority of cases the characters were adults, such as Patty and Selma and Krusty the Clown, although children and teenagers featured in around eight per cent of cases”.

While watching the episodes of any TV show, we rarely care about such kind of issues but actually, a concern is required being a good citizen. It’s a well known fact that animated shows are mostly watched by the kids so smoking by their favorite characters in their darling TV shows can have major influence on their minds.  So, I think the creators must think about it and take initiatives to make this show free from all such social and health hazards.
