Homer-Lisa and Bart, each one is having different set of troubles and their lives have been split up in a less than ordinary day. Homer gets its thumb sliced off while preparing the breakfast so goes to hospital; Lisa is looking for her way to get to the Science fair at school; and Bart finds out some fireworks in a secret cave.
