The Simpsons Season 18
‘The Simpsons’ season 18 was premiered on September 10, 2006 and the season opener was entitled ‘The Mook, the Chef, the Wife and Her Homer”. As season reached up to its eighteenth season, everyone was astonished with the success it received and also crazy to watch what’d happen next. In the much awaited season opener we saw Lisa befriended Tony’s son Michael. He invited whole Simpsons’ family to dinner where Fat Tony was shot. When Michael was supposed to be the new kingpin, he refused to do so and ultimately it was Homer who became the new mob boss. Second episode of season was entitled ‘Jazzy and the Pussycats’. In this episode, we saw that Bart had problems with acting out so Homer took him to a child psychiatrist. After doctor suggested him to take up drumming, Bart got a drum kit and it helped him to become natural. On the other hand, Lisa adopted animals to combat tension and depression. Jazz musicians approached Bart to become their band member. Then we watched the episode entitled ‘Please Homer, Don’t Hammer ‘Em”. We saw Marge as a handywoman but no one in town was very much happy with the idea of a female carpenter. Ultimately, Marge was forced to disguise her work with Homer working on the front. Bart had an idea to blackmail Principal Skinner but his all plans backfired on him. Next to it was the episode entitled ‘Treehouse of Horror XVII”. Then was the episode entitled “G.I. (Annoyed Grunt)”. Here, we saw that Homer found himself in an Army Training Camp. Next episode in row was entitled ‘Moe’N'a Lisa”. In this episode, Lisa helped Moe to discover his inner poetic ability. It was completely heartbreaking for Lisa when Moe started enjoying his new found success and failed to credit Lisa for her assistance.
Seventh episode of season was entitled ‘Ice Cream of Margie (with the Light Blue Hair). Beginning of the episode was not very good as Homer once again got fired at the Nuclear Power Point. In order to make both ends meet, he bought an ice-cream truck and started selling ice-creams. On the other hand, Marge began using Popsicle to create statues of various citizens of the town. Next episode in row was entitled ‘The Haw-Hawed Couple”. We saw Bart started friendship with Nelson and he discovered his attitude of being so possessive. Lisa’s fantasy books attracted Homer. Then was the episode ‘Kill Gil: Vols. 1 & 2″ in which Lisa got a Malibu Stacy doll, reserved for Mr. Costington’s daughter, from Gil Gunderson. After being kicked out of the mall, he joined The Simpsons and Marge was not very happy with his presence. In ‘The Wife Aquatic”
Homer and Marge visited Marge’s favorite childhood vacation- an island named Barnacle Bay. Next episode of season was entitled ‘Revenge Is a Dish Best Served Three Times”. Homer was seeking revenge on the Rich Texan and it made Marge, Lisa and Bart to offer three cautionary tales of revenge. Then came the episode entitled “Little Big Girl”. It was Bart who saved the town of Springfield so Mayor Quimby awarded him with driver’s license. Bart developed a relationship with a teenage girl named Darcy who started blackmailing him saying that she’s pregnant. Lisa’s fake statement started troubling her later. Next to was the episode entitled ‘”Springfield Up”. Here, Declan Desmond, a documentary filmmaker returned with his new documentary ‘Growing Up Springfield’. Then we watched the episode entitled ‘Yokel Chords”. In this episode, Principal Skinner asked Lisa to tutor Cletus’s kids. Meanwhile, Bart went to see a psychiatrist.
Then we watched the episode entitled “Rome-old and Juli-eh”. Some unexpected series of events led Grampa and Selma to fall in love and get married. Homer and Patty decided to break up their relationship. On the other hand, Bart and Lisa conned a delivery man out of cardboard boxes. Then came the episode entitled ‘Homerazzi” . We saw that The Simpsons’ family’s photo got destroyed and Marge get to restage all family photographs. After the whole accident led to uncover a celebrity dating scandal in the background, Homer decided to become paparazzi. Next episode in row was “Marge Gamer”. In this episode, Marge came to know the wonders of internet and became a part of a reality game “Earthland Realms” and much to her surprise; Bart appeared as game’s best and most destructive player. Lisa thought to take the full advantage of Homer being referee of her soccer games. Then we watched the episode entitled ‘”The Boys of Bummer”. In this episode, we saw Bart behaving like a hometown hero after he made a game winning catch at Little League game. Homer’s new job was as a mattress tester at Costington’s Department store. Then was the episode entitled ‘Crook and Ladder’. Here, after deciding to follow the suggestions of a parenting magazine, Marge decided to throw Maggie’s pacifier away. It was not a bright idea and it put all Simpsons into trouble. On the other hand, Homer, Moe, Apu and Principal Skinner decided to become volunteer firefighters. In “Stop or My Dog Will Shoot”, Santa’s Little Helper saved Homer from a cornfield maze. Bart had a new pet, a strangling snake. We next watched the episode entitled ‘24 Minutes”. Severe plans were being carried on to sabotage Springfield Elementary School’s Annual Bake sale with a stink bomb and Marge was trying her best to win the bake sale. Season finale was entitled “You Kent Always Say What You Want” and it was aired on May 20, 2007. In this episode, we saw that Homer bought the 1-millionth ice cream cone and it helped him to be part of Kent Brockman’s nightly news program.
Season’s Top Ranked Episode ‘24 Minutes’
Principal Skinner opened a CTU at School and Lisa was the in-charge of the operation. Severe plans were being carried on to sabotage Springfield Elementary School’s Annual Bake sale. Bart and Lisa must stop the bullies from releasing the ultimate stink bomb with the help from Jack Bauer and Chloe O’Brian. Marge was sure to win the bake sale
